On 5th January 1949 Bert flew Meteor IV (VT123),
the maneuver he was on was Wing Balbo, however the Log reads "Wing Balbo
(Killed)". The Meteor he was flying crashed as a result of engine
failure, during landing the plane cart wheeled and he was killed. A
